Emory Rosenow is a violinist by profession, with a wide variety of interests within and beyond the musical world. She currently resides in Ohio with her boyfriend, Mark, and her cat Mr. Butters, as well as an ever increasing number of books and plants.
Emory holds violin performance degrees from Kansas State, Oklahoma State, and Cleveland State Universities. She currently performs with a number of local ensembles, including Lima Symphony, Opera Project Columbus, McConnell Arts Center Chamber Orchestra, and Westerville Symphony; in the summers she is a member of the Ohio Light Opera orchestra. Previously she has played with Fort Wayne Philharmonic, Tulsa Symphony, and various university ensembles. In addition to established ensembles, she frequently plays with temporary ensembles for community theatre, church services, and high school musical productions.
Emory also is an experienced chamber musician, having played with numerous string quartets, trios, and quintets, as well as mixed-instrument ensembles. She is a founding member of Duo 70, with saxophonist Mark Wallace.
